Aries \u201eL&#8217;\u0435nfant et la vie familiale sous l&#8217;Ancien&nbsp;R\u00e9gime\u201d (1960), which includes three main ideas. First, in the \u201cold traditional&nbsp;society\u201d the duration of childhood is reduced to its earliest period. Second, the&nbsp;socialization of children is achieved out of the family. Third, serious changes&nbsp;in attitude towards childhood and the child begin in the end of the seventeenth&nbsp;century and are associated with the development of schools. Development of&nbsp;school education and the emergence of parental love \u2013 these are two sides of the&nbsp;same process as a result of which the child becomes a central fi gure in the family.&nbsp;Philippe Aries shows that childhood has its own history and that is its greatest&nbsp;merit. Moreover, the same people may have in the course of its history different&nbsp;cultures of childhood. educational&nbsp;institutions, the signifi cance of the civil society as an institutionalized public&nbsp;sector, represented by non-governmental organizations, which perform the&nbsp;mission to guarantee the viability of the state institutions, where a defi cit of&nbsp;the resource provision of their activity is observed. The establishment and the&nbsp;development of relations between the non-governmental organizations (NGOs)&nbsp;and the local and the state authorities illustrates the maturity of the society and&nbsp;is a solid guarantee of progress, not only of the institutions, but as well of the&nbsp;individual, which becomes a fundamental fi gure.&nbsp;The relation between the Bulgarian education and the society is a social policy&nbsp;having long history. The school committees are the fi rst agency of the civil society&nbsp;in organizing, management and leadership of the Bulgarian education since the&nbsp;National Revival. Nowadays, the civil organizations \/the parental community\/&nbsp;perform their traditional functions. In the context of new challenges of socioeconomic&nbsp;realities of competitiveness, market orientation, self-government, of&nbsp;shared responsibility between the state and the society for fi nancial and material&nbsp;provision of the educational process of children and pupils, generating private and&nbsp;donation resources, and integrating the voluntary efforts of the citizens (parents).&nbsp;And this is the core of the idea of democratic society as a working civil society.&nbsp;The civil cooperation of parents in the education organizations management is&nbsp;guaranteed with the Bulgarian legislation with the Public Education Law and the&nbsp;Law on the non-profi t legal entities. In short, it considers the&nbsp;infl uence of the different kinds of drugs on the&nbsp;human being development in a physiological,&nbsp;bio-chemical, physical and psychological&nbsp;aspect, and their general refl ection on health.&nbsp;With her habitual emotionality and&nbsp;commitment, Dr Stamatova describes the real&nbsp;experience of the drug addicted faiths having&nbsp;gone through different forms of treatment,&nbsp;the possibilities which the state offers for&nbsp;drug addicts treatment. While at the stage of&nbsp;treatment, there is a kind of hope, afterwards&nbsp;these people, not having quite strong mentality&nbsp;yet and with a lot of problems, do not have any&nbsp;support of anyone except of their families. In&nbsp;this respect, the society is a debtor in to the&nbsp;hundreds young people who have fallen into the hell of drug addiction. Each of&nbsp;them is left all by themselves and often the most common case is to get again into&nbsp;the \u201cfriendly\u201d environment created by drug addicts like them and to fall into the&nbsp;drug dealer\u2019s clutches and everything is starting once again from the beginning.&nbsp;Dr Stamatova describes real-life cases \u2013 what happens to people who have made&nbsp;attempts to cure themselves. Particularly hopeful is the case when the drug victim,&nbsp;driven by his\/her closest people, who also support him\/her strongly, combines the&nbsp;treatment with the belief in God. All this helps to the drug addict return to normal&nbsp;life. This example gives hope to all needy.&nbsp;The book is written at one go with a strong emotion and commitment and for&nbsp;sure it can infl uence the young people who are the main group that isin danger of&nbsp;falling into the drug\u2019s clutches. With the author\u2019s habitual pedagogical mastership,&nbsp;a successful step is made from theory into the world practice. Two inquiries are&nbsp;conducted with very precisely formulated questions, which refl ect the essence of&nbsp;the examined problems. One of the inquiries is conducted with 679 pupils from&nbsp;age 14 up to 18 years. The questions provoke the youths to learn more about the&nbsp;drugs and the destruction they cause to the human constitution and personality. The&nbsp;other inquiry is conducted with 26 cured drug addicts from age 18 to 35 years. The&nbsp;answers to the questions are shocking. It is obvious that almost all these people,&nbsp;who are in the prime of their life, have taken the road to nowhere.&nbsp;The book should be made knownto as many as possible young people. It will&nbsp;touch their hearts and for sure will stop many of them from trying drugs. This is&nbsp;because in this text you cannot fi nd edifi cation and dry statistics, you won\u2019t find&nbsp;a bank of complex and incomprehensible science facts with which our children&nbsp;are overwhelmed daily at school in each subject taught. There is comprehensively&nbsp;given data on how the drugs infl uence the person. There are a lot of wrecked human&nbsp;fates whose stories are told with warm human commitment. The experienced&nbsp;teacher with a big human heart, Dr Radka Stamatova, with her consecutive book&nbsp;says \u201cstop\u201d to those who haven&#8217;t fallen into the drugs hell and the young people for&nbsp;sure will believe her.
