Abstract.<\/strong> The article is dedicated to the national educational policies and priorities for intercultural education in Bulgaria regarding the discipline Ethno-psychology, taught at the Faculty of History, Bachelor’s Degree specialties: Ethnology, History and Philosophy, and Master’s Degree ones: Education in History for the Secondary Education, Historic-Ethnic Models of National Security. Principles and approaches are identified to encourage socio-cultural competence in teachers in the context of higher education in the Bulgarian educational system. Paradigms regarding the standard “Civic, heath, ecological and intercultural education” of the Ministry of Education of Bulgaria (2016), in accordance with the Preschool and School Education Act (2016), are clarified. The problems of educational integration of minorities in Bulgaria are highlighted. A piloted empirical-theoretical model from the point of view of ethno-psychology is presented.

Abstract.<\/strong> One of the main tasks facing Bulgarian schools is the preparation of competent specialists who will be equipped not only with a system of knowledge, skills and habits, but also with experience in independent creative activity and personal responsibility, i.e. specific educational competencies.
The goal of the present paper is to describe, with the aid of examples from school practice, our experience in forming some key competencies – experimental, research, health and ecology related, assessment etc. ones, by using reflective activities. The results of our work in that direction indicate that the inclusion of interactive technologies in the process of education is one of the most effective methods of forming the desired competencies in students.<\/p>\n

Pedagogical reflection as a personal and pedagogical trait of special pedagogues and its relation to their emotional competence as a part of their descriptive profile has a great importance for the quality of their professional activity and its results. The use of concept of social and emotional competence of special pedagogues as a theoretical ground for the stimulation of personal development appears to be effective with regard to the search of new solutions in the challenges of their professional life.
