Some Methodological Approaches to Compose Olympiad Problems

Abstract. In comparison with problems, included in lecture courses or in exams on mathematical subjects, the Olympiad problems should assure possibilities for creativity and non-standard thinking of competitors. Thus, it is quite desirable that such problems allow more than one method to find corresponding solutions. The paper proposes a type of problems with various approaches to their solutions.
